| Salineville is located at 40°37′24″N, 80°50′3″W (40.623461, -80.834182)GR1. According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 5.7 km² (2.2 mi²), all land. As of the censusGR2 of 2000, there were 1,397 people, 535 households, and 365 families residing in the village. The population density was 243.0/km² (628.6/mi²). There were 594 housing units at an average density of 103.3/km² (267.3/mi²). The racial makeup of the village was 99.07% White, 0.36% Native American, 0.07% from other races, and 0.50% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.57% of the population. There were 535 households out of which 33.3% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 47.9% were married couples living together, 14.6% had a female householder with no husband present, and 31.6% were non-families. 26.7% of all households were made up of individuals and 13.8% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.60 and the average family size was 3.14. In the village the population was spread out with 29.2% under the age of 18, 9.3% from 18 to 24, 27.6% from 25 to 44, 22.2% from 45 to 64, and 11.7% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 33 years. For every 100 females there were 97.9 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 90.9 males. The median income for a household in the village was $27,473, and the median income for a family was $30,167. Males had a median income of $28,864 versus $19,539 for females. The..."
